Wedding Season: Will you wear a waistcoat?

Many suits come with waistcoat alternatives, but whether or not you wear one on the Big Day is totally up to you. If you want to keep the style more casual, a two-piece outfit would be the way to go.
If you want to wear a waistcoat, there are a few things to think about: Do you want to wear one on your own or do you want the groomsmen to join you? Do you all want to wear the same colour if you decide to all wear them? The waistcoat can be a dapper way to stand out, whether you choose to be the only man wearing one or choose a distinct colour or design.
Wearing a waistcoat in a different colour or texture to your suit is becoming increasingly trendy. Create a dynamic style by mixing a crisp blue or grey suit with a waistcoat in the same colour as the groomsmen, for example, a navy suit with a grey tweed mix waistcoat to liven up the look!
When it comes to buttoning your waistcoat, the bottom button should always be left open and sit just above your belt. If you’re wearing it as part of a three-piece suit, make sure the waistcoat’s V is small enough to show through the jacket.
